This rare 2000 dinar coin was originally issued in AH 1310 (approx. CE 1892) during the reign of Nasser Al-Din Shah, Persia's third-longest reigning monarch (1848-96). The front writing includes the Shah's name, while the back shows the date struck and the national lion and sun emblem.
